Certina's DS Super PH2000M is a diving watch that's built to handle extreme conditions. It's a tough, unapologetic timepiece that's designed to withstand anything you throw at it, from the harshest environments to the deepest dives. The watch is a testament to Certina's long history of testing its watches in real-world, extreme conditions, whether they're trekking over the Himalayas or spending months underwater in a saturation dive. The DS Super PH2000M is a beast of a watch, with a case that's made from grade 2 titanium and measures 43mm across and 16mm thick. It's a large watch, but it's designed to be tough and unapologetic in its sizing and construction. The case is sharply angled and covered in vertical brushing to enhance the tool-watch aesthetic, and it features a helium escape valve and a solid case back to keep the watch watertight. The watch is equipped with Certina's Double Security protection system, which has been developed and evolved since the 1960s. This system ensures that the movement inside the watch can stand up to 10,000 Gs, and it's screwed into the case with a thin ring-shaped nut and a thin metal plate that sits between the dial and the movement. The crystal has been redesigned and reinforced to better disperse shock waves, should the watch get knocked. The dial is designed with legibility in mind, with four options available: bright yellow, clear white, dark contrasting black with orange lume, and a turquoise-to-black gradient dial that's limited to 1,959 pieces. All four dials feature applied markers with buckets of lume and oversized arrow and sword hands, with a crosshair and dial text printed on them. The movement is a Powermatic 80, which has proved itself time and time again as a workhorse for the Swatch group. It has 80 hours of power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring, which is fully protected by the Double Security system, ensuring that its accuracy won't be affected by external forces. The bracelet is made from grade 2 titanium and comes with a full 5-link bracelet and a second strap option as standard. All of the bracelets and most of the second strap options come with a deployant clasp that has an on-the-fly micro-adjust system built in and is activated using two easy push buttons on the side of the clasp. The watch is available now, with the teal dial being the only limited edition at 1,959 pieces, priced at CHF 1,235/£1,230/US$1,440.
